Mapplewell Manor care home celebrates third year anniversary

Mapplewell Party 3 Topping off another fantastic year, residents, family and the staff of Silk Healthcare’s 87-bedroom care home in Barnsley, South Yorkshire took time to reflect on the year they have had as they celebrated the third anniversary. Party guests were treated to champagne, wine, beers, chocolates and cakes as well as entertainment from

Jon Dean, covering songs from all era’s.

Commenting on the celebrations, home manager Karen Hugill said “after another busy year we thought it only right to take a moment to celebrate and have some fun celebrating this milestone. We have a strong and committed team here at Mapplewell Manor who enable our residents to have fun and enjoy life.”

Activity Co-ordinator Helen Smith said “The anniversary is a very exciting milestone for us. We’re lucky to have had so many lovely residents who chose to make Mapplewell Manor their home. The party was a big thank Mapplewell Party 2you to the residents, their relatives and also to the rest of the team who provide the best possible care all year round.”

Recently Mapplewell Manor won an award for being named in the Top 20 most recommended care homes in Yorkshire & The Humber.  Davina Ludlow, Director of carehome.co.uk said “Mapplewell Manor has proven they provide excellent care and we’d like to congratulate them on being a top recommended home in Yorkshire & the Humber. Silk Healthcare is fast gaining a reputation as the care provider of choice for those looking for care services tailored to the clients needs. Since Belvedere Manor opened its doors in 2013 it has received referrals from South Yorkshire’s health & social trusts, as well as self funded guests.  It has been home to many residents for short breaks and long term care, at the purpose built home.
