Etac R82 has delivered a diverse range of practical presentations, product launches and added value opportunities at the 2018 OT Show (Stand C70, NEC, 21-22 November).
Etac is a renowned specialist in ergonomic adult and paediatric mobility equipment with over 40 years of client-centric experience. It provides the respected and quality Etac, R82, Molift, Immedia, Convaid and Star Cushions brands – several examples of which were on display at the OT Show. The main focus this year was practical education to help professionals responsible for moving and handling people. Utilising solutions from across the range, international Etac Education and Product Managers as well as UK specialists were able to explain the latest techniques for moving, positioning and supporting people. These on-stand demonstrations were complemented by the “Paediatric Assessment Tips” presentation delivered in the PMG Theatre by Jo McConnell, OT & Clinical Manager, Mobility & Pressure Care, Etac R82.
All seminars were well attended however Ole Lindahl Thy’s sessions entitled: “Single Handed Care – Solutions for the positioning of immobile patients” proved the most popular. Ole, a highly experienced Physiotherapist from Norway and Etac Education Manager (Transfer), combined the latest Immedia 4way Glide with the NEW Molift Air 200 hoist to demonstrate the most efficient and effective techniques for in-bed patient repositioning. Each session generated interaction with the audience and attending OTs commented that the knowledge they gained would be vital for everyday practice.
Other educational demonstrations included:
- How, when and why use Air Cell Cushions?
Jo McConnell, OT & Etac Clinical Manager, Mobility & Pressure Care, Etac R82
