An employee of transfer coating company Dartex Coatings is celebrating 25 years of service this month (May).
Martin Whitehead joined the company, then known as Penn Nyla, as a 22 year old to work in the examination team at the Acton Close site in Long Eaton, near Nottingham, where it is still based today.
Operations Manager Mike Smith said; “On behalf of Dartex, we would like to profoundly thank Martin for his years of service and dedication. He has trained up a number of examiners over the years, and his drive for perfection has been instrumental in maintaining the quality of Dartex products.”
Martin has examined millions of metres of Dartex fabric through the course of his employment, which has gone on to have a multitude of uses; from designer handbags to mattress covers, to athletes’ outfits for the Olympic Games!
