The Occupational Therapy Show, it’s almost ShowTime!


As anticipation builds once again for The Occupational Therapy Show 2015, there are many delights in store for all members of the occupational therapy team.

With only weeks to go, the completely free event is full to bursting with motivational lectures, practical workshops and live demonstrations presented by speakers at the very forefront of occupational therapy. Among those headlining the exceptional educational programme will be:

Access over 60 hours of FREE accredited CPD education over two-days, across four separate streams, covering clinical areas including physical, mental health & learning difficulties, children & families, and innovation in practice / shaping the future.

In order to build on the success of previous years, The Occupational Therapy Show 2015 will offer a host of brand new features for you and your team to enjoy this year, these include:

The Occupational Therapy Show Awards [sponsored by The OT Magazine & AKW]
Taking place on Wednesday 25th November at 16:45 in the Keynote Theatre, the Awards will celebrate and acknowledge successful individuals and teams within the OT professions and are aimed at grass roots OT professionals, in the statuary and/or private sector, to recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions made to both the profession and the clients they serve.

The Paediatric Trail [sponsored by Theraposture] If your specialist area is in paediatrics, or this is an area of interest, then this is for you! There will be a bespoke Paediatric Trail floor plan detailing relevant exhibitors and seminar sessions for you to visit at the Show. By visiting these exhibitors and seminars, marked with a [bear], you will be given greater exposure to all the latest learning, products, services and technologies on the paediatric market, enabling you to provide a more enhanced service to your clients.

You could also be in with the chance to win an iPad Air 2 by simply visiting all exhibitors taking part in the Paediatric Trail and marking them off your Paediatric Trail floor plan which you can collect at the Show.

The Poster Zone
NEW for 2015 and located on the show floor, The Poster Zone will showcase work submitted by OTs who work across the UK, within NHS Trusts, local councils, independent practice and all other sectors. Make sure you save some time to view all the posters in the poster zone so you don’t miss out!

To add to all this, The Occupational Therapy Show will be packed with special promotions for ALL delegates. Starting the Disabled Living Foundation are also back for another year with and exclusive free three month trail for OT delegates who sign up to DLF subscription at the show, you’ll find them on stand D16. Seating Matters are offering free copies of the new 2015 edition of The Clinician’s Seating Handbook written by Martina Tierney, OT and worldwide educator which supports OTs with their evidence based practice and justification in the provision of seating visit them on stand F13.

The OT Magazine will also be on stand I53 and want to speak to as many OTs as possible. As a publication produced solely for OTs they want to ensure every issue is packed with opinions, ideas and experiences from occupational therapists and would like to hear from OTs from a variety of different settings. Whether you are a newly qualified OT with an interesting project, an OT who has embarked on an experience abroad or simply an OT who is passionate about the work they do and want to raise awareness of the important difference that this work is making to people’s lives, The OT Magazine want to hear from you.
