We’re also delighted to be able to confirm the dates for Naidex 2016 today, which will be 26 to 30 April, taking place in halls 6 and 7.”

Etac (C140)

Etac will show its new Nova 500 sit-to-stand hoist at Naidex, this product is intended for users with some weight bearing capacity. The low footplate makes it easier for the user to stand up from a sitting position – the centre of gravity is optimised for maximum stability and electric adjustable legs making it easier to get the hoist closer to the chair, wheelchair or toilet.

get living it (BO3)
‘get living it’ is a new UK venue, facility and activity website, providing access information specifically tailored to the needs of individuals and families living with long term illness or disability. Users registering for the website at Naidex have the chance to win a week’s holiday at a self-catering cottage in rural Herefordshire.

Go Gal (B22)

Go Gal will exhibit for the first time at Naidex, the Portuguese travel agency, created in 2013, offers tailored holiday programmes in Portugal, aimed at people living with reduced mobility or disability.

Isagi (D94)

Naidex exhibitor Isagi will display a prototype of a crash mat, which is so absorbent that an egg dropped from shoulder-height will land on the mat without cracking. The Naidex exhibitor won a business award for innovation last year and will also display a range of non-slip daily living products.

Lazy-Z Boy and Mammoth Technologies (C83)

La-Z-Boy and Mammoth Technologies have collaborated and will showcase their unique new range of Tyler chairs and sofas. La-Z-Boy is famed for its innovation in recliners and motion furniture, while Mammoth is renowned for its unique Medical Grade Foam, which has led to its mattresses being clinically proven to provide a better nights sleep. The Tyler range created by La-Z-Boy and Mammoth, comprises a Lift ‘n’ Rise chair, along with a three-seater and two-seater option, which are available as power or latch recliners or static models.

Now Technologies Ltd (C26)

Now Technologies will launch their new Gyroset™ technology, which can change the way injured people move or interact with their environment.

The GyroSet™ is Now Technologies’ integrated wheelchair control platform enabling people with tetraplegia and other disabilities to live a fuller life.

The product is capable of replacing the control electronics manufacturers currently build into wheelchairs, turning them into a multipurpose onboard platform that can handle any custom controller or health sensor built for the individual’s requirements.

NRS (B140)

Regular Naidex exhibitor NRS will launch a number of new products at this year’s show, including the Stand & Turn Easy, which provides a number of standing and turning options for users. It will also launch the Duo 200 Walking Trolley, which provides a safer alternative to a conventional trolley with height adjustable handles and unique rear slider feet with built in “push brake”.

Sirus (E65)

Sirus Automotive will launch an industry first at this year’s Naidex – the industry’s first ever self-lifting ramp system. The mechanically designed ramp removes the need for carers or drivers to bend down or to lift the ramp.

The patented technology will be launched on a brand new Sirus vehicle conversion designed for wheelchair passengers to travel up front next to the driver. The first car to feature the ramp is the brand new Citroen Berlingo wheelchair passenger up-front vehicle, which will also be launched at Naidex.

S’UP (B23)

The S’up Spoon is a product designed to help transform mealtimes for people with shaky hands, as a result of cerebral palsy, essential tremor or Parkinson’s. The S’up Spoon was developed in conjunction with IT and project officer Grant Douglas and Glasgow-based consultancy 4c Design – and will launch at Naidex this year.

Telmenow (C30)

The new Telmenow.com service will be showcasing its range of technology-enabled products and services to support independent living as lead sponsor of the new Technology Pavilion. The newly launched service acts as a superstore for a range of health and care technology, designed to offer peace of mind to individuals and their carers.

Terry Lifts (B80)

Terry Lifts will display its new Melody 3 Unenclosed Platform Lift at this year’s event. The lift provides a safe and easy way to gain access to a domestic property or a public building where stairs would otherwise prevent independent wheelchair access. Terry Lifts will be exhibiting a fully functional Melody 3 lift at Naidex.

TGA (B70)

TGA Mobility, the UK’s leading mobility scooter specialist, will launch two new products at Naidex this year. The Minimo Plus mobility scooter delivers an enhanced driving experience with pneumatic tyres for a smoother ride and active rear suspension for added stability.

TGA’s second launch is the new folding Maximo Mobility Scooter, which builds on the excellent aspects of the Minimo Plus to provide a larger, four-wheel version with greater user weight capacity (21 stone/133kg). The Maximo combines all the benefits of a collapsible car boot scooter with a larger standard 4mph model – a new type of offering for retailers and consumers.

Naidex 2016

The trade attendee will continue to be an important visitor to the show next year. Having launched new content streams for both community equipment services, as well as home improvement agency sectors; Naidex will strengthen its partnerships in this area to develop this agenda further for 2016.

The introduction of Naidex. Connects. – the meeting service that puts trade attendees in direct contact with exhibitors – has created the opportunity for visitors and exhibitors to take control of who they see at the show, and Naidex is committed to strengthening its networking opportunities for trade in 2016 again.

The business of independent living is a growing part of health and social care, and new media partnerships created this year with associations such as Natspec, will enable the show to develop its specialist education offering.  Key housing associations and providers of supported living have also been identified to create an even stronger trade audience for the show.

Key partnerships with The College of Occupational Therapists and National Wheelchair Mangers Forum will ensure healthcare professionals also continue to be an integral member of the show audience.  Strengthening these relationships and with key wheelchair manufacturers and distributers will create new practical learning opportunities for wheelchair clinicians and senior occupational therapists.

All of the new products above, and many more, can be seen at Naidex, for more information about Naidex and to register for your free ticket, please visit www.naidex.co.uk.
