As the country’s most established event for the independent living industry, Naidex 2017 will attract over 12,000 trade, consumer and health care professional visitors over three days, in search of the very latest innovative technology, products, equipment and services that are shaping the future for people with physical disabilities or special educational needs.
But this is not the Naidex you have heard of before – under brand new management for 2017, Naidex has changed.
New Event Organisers Have Given Naidex a Much-Needed Breath of Fresh Air
New event managers, PRYSM Media Group, have taken Naidex and given it a much-needed breath of fresh air. By boosting the number and range of exhibitors and seminars, PRYSM have immediately elevated the excitement surrounding the all new Naidex. Visitor registrations have vastly improved from last year already, and as momentum continues to build and the line-up continues to flourish, Naidex is looking set to smash all expectations and deliver an event that everyone in the industry can truly be proud of.
The change in the way the show looks and feels will be immediately evident to attendees. There will be a heightened level of
attention towards future innovations, the ideas that are changing accessible living, transformative equipment, and the most modern tools that are breaking new ground in assisting the disabled population. There’s also special interactive zones for products and services specialising in sport and activity, travel, health care profession, children and young people, mobility, vision, tech and business start-up.
The event’s comprehensive seminar schedule provides an unparalleled level of education, guidance and inspiration, and each session is delivered by an expert recognised for their influential work and achievement in their field.
The 185 strong CPD accredited seminar schedule includes supported housing specialist Sharon Allen MBE, who will be sharing 30 years of experience in the care sector. Moving and Handling gurus Philippa Bromley and Deborah Harrison will be discussing risks and strategies, relating in particular to dementia and single handed care. Hannah Ensor founder of Stickman Communications will be addressing issues surrounding communicating a need, limitation or alternatively ability for disabled people. Prof. Pam Enderby from the University of Sheffield will assess the value of rehabilitation based on The Therapy Outcome Measure. Lesley Herbertson, leading birth injury & clinical negligence lawyer from Potter Rees Dolan, will compare a typical birth to one with errors and Clare Jones, chief driving assessment and mobility advisor from the Regional Driving Assessment Centre will outline the possibilities in terms of driving with a medical condition, legal responsibilities, and how mobility centres meet individual needs for recommendations on vehicle adaptations.
Bringing Together Leading International Experts
The show will also welcome the first ever Next Generation Assistive Technology Summit (NGAT), which will provide the most detailed exploration into the future outlook of the technology, products, gadgets, and tools assisting the population with debilitating, long-term conditions. Bringing together leading international experts from the world’s most progressive and
influential innovators, charities, academic institutions, and organisations, NGAT stands as Europe’s most comprehensive conference on the adaptive technologies of the future.
Naidex will also provide the most effective networking platform available to professionals working in the disability and care sector. Aside from being in the same room as 250 cutting-edge suppliers and 12,000 forward thinking visitors, Naidex Connections Service will facilitate private 1-2-1 business meetings with these exhibitors, to ensure that connections made at the show are converted into dynamic and constructive professional relationships.
