Hannah Montgomery, of everyLIFE Technologies, has taken up the challenge of jumping out of a plane from 10,000ft for Contact The Elderly.
Hannah has already raised more than her original £500 target to partake in a parachute jump at Hinton-in-the-Hedges Airfield on 14th May 2016. Hannah said: ‘I decided to take part in this challenge for Contact The Elderly because since working at everyLIFE Technologies (a care management software) I became aware of how lonely elderly life can be. It’s great to think that I will be raising funds to help support vulnerable, lonely people to eat cake, have a cucumber sandwich and most importantly have regular social interaction.’
Mary Rance, CEO, Contact the Elderly, said: “We are hugely grateful to Hannah for taking to the sky in aid of Contact the Elderly, and raising a fantastic £630 so far to help us alleviate loneliness amongst older people.
”As the UK population continues to age, the demand for our service has never been greater and therefore the support of individuals like Hannah is imperative to our work. “With 91pence of every pound going directly towards the growth of our tea party groups, there has never been a better way to support those who are completely cut off from society.”
‘As a charity, we rely on the generosity of individuals like Hannah to help us continue our vital work. Please back Hannah in her fundraising efforts so that Contact The Elderly can continue leading the fight against loneliness.’
