of 2.8 million full time jobs, Care Show Bournemouth (www.careshow.co.uk/bournemouth), is a one stop forum for those involved in care today.  The Care Show returns to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on 25th and 26th March for another packed, inspirational and educational event.

This edition of Care Show is an event that will feature pioneering speakers alongside a range of cutting edge products and services. Visitors include residential nursing and care home-owners and managers; homecare providers; hospital, NHS and Foundation Trust staff; GPs; local authorities and social service providers plus care facility construction companies.

Care Show Bournemouth will feature a high profile discussion featuring local MPs, and local authority directors etc who will take part in ‘The Big Debate – Stakeholders share their Vision for Care’. The debate takes place at 4pm on March 25th and care providers as well as visitors are invited to actively participate and contribute to this shared vision debate.

Two corresponding seminar theatres – The Solent Theatre and The Windsor Theatre – will feature panel discussions and presentations on increasingly requested topics from visitors to Care Shows Birmingham and Bournemouth including:

  • Maximising the opportunity for privately funded placement
  • Funding strategies and guidance on alternative sources of funding for care operators
  • How to find more and better frontline care applicants
  • Integration and joint working – making it happen
  • The Care Act
  • Managing medicines in care settings
  • Whistleblowing
  • Care Quality Commission – the future of adult social care regulation

James Samuel, The Care Show’s Event Director comments:

“With the subject of care continuing to feature high on news agendas, we are delighted to be able to introduce further innovative

care solutions and inspiration to Care Show Bournemouth again in 2015.”

This inspirational content will complement the 150 exhibitors participating, offering both practical support and advice in addressing many of the issues highlighted by those involved in long-term care in the UK today.

Participants featuring innovative products for care include: the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Intercall – launching a brand new and advanced care home monitoring software, Access UK, apetito, Boots Care Services, Danfloor UK and Renray Healthcare to name just a few.

Visitors to last year’s Care Show Bournemouth were enthusiastic in their praise.  John Timbs, Managing Director, Lodge Care Group UK said “This is my first visit to the show and aside from viewing lots of interesting products – I’ve also found the education sessions very, very useful and been able to absorb a number of messages from them, including financial/capital allowances best practice. I have attended on both days of the show to fully absorb all information, education and new products.”

Tony Roberts, Head of Supported Housing Services at London’s Wandsworth Council added “I found Care Show Bournemouth invaluable.  To be able to listen to and learn from such interesting ‘movers and shakers’ across the seminars on both days was a really great opportunity.”
